An immersive documentary and profound sensory experience from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sam Green (The Weather Underground) that explores the elemental phenomenon of sound. The film weaves thirty-two specific audio recordings into a cinematic meditation on the power of sound to bend time, cross borders, and profoundly shape our perception of the world around us. Presented in its “live cinema” form, 32 Sounds features live narration by Green accompanied by original music performed by JD Samson of pioneering electro band Le Tigre. 32 Sounds redefines the experience of a sound bath, creating a mesmerizing and engulfing evening. Individual headphones will be provided to each attendee to fully focus on the influence and impact of sound.
“Bursting with humor, emotion and curiosity, ’32 Sounds’ is a uniquely mind-expanding plunge into a dimension of the human experience so many of us take for granted, a rare and rewarding sonic journey with the potential to enrich our lives.” — Variety
