tEETH

The collaborative team of Hebert and Kraft began in 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah, moved to Portland in 2002 and evolved into tEEth in 2006. tEEth has toured nationally to On the Boards in Seattle, Joyce SoHo in New York, Sidearm Gallery in New Orleans, and pending locations in 2010. Their previous work, Normal and Happy, was presented as part of Portland Institute for Contemporary Art’s Time Based Art Festival (Portland) in September of 2007, Reed College's RAW Festival (Portland) in March of 2008, and at On the Boards as part of the Northwest New Works Festival in June of 2007. In addition to private funding, tEEth has received commissioning and grant support from the National Performance Network, Regional Arts and Culture Council and Oregon Arts Commission.

PRESS QUOTES:

"The work of choreographer Angelle Hebert and composer Phillip Kraft (better known as tEEth) is absolutely riveting, thoroughly engaging, and very nearly incomprehensible." -- Portland Mercury

"... tEEth unapologetically stretches the very definition of what many of us might call dance..." -- Portland Monthly

"But the blow-me-away performance came from Portland dance company, tEEth, whose stunningly original piece 'Normal and Happy' was decidedly neither." -- The Seattle Times
